Our first innovative solution is a reinvention of vaccines with a novel maize-based technology platform that will shift the paradigm in disease prevention.


Summary and Responsibilities:

 

We are seeking a highly motivated team member to join the Mazen seed production team! This position is accountable for managing all aspect of field operations and seed production at the site. As a member of the Site Leadership Team, this position will collaborate with other production sites and personnel.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for establishing a fully operational site capable of delivering quality seed based on production schedules.

  • Create and maintain efficient and effective site operations, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.

  • Establish and follow all safety and compliance (Regulatory and DOT) guidelines to maintain our FTO as a company and create a safety-first culture.

  • Initiate and manage the execution and maintenance of land and warehouse contracts.

  • Collaborate with other production sites and personnel and cross-functionally to support the needs of the organization.

  • Build strong working relationships internally and externally, including growers, growers’ employees, labor contractors, and the broader community.

  • Train employees and key stakeholders on concepts of process production.

  • Attain a full understanding of California IPM integrated pest management.

  • Understand and stay abreast of California labor guidelines.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture production and minimum of 3 of experience in corn/seed production, or equivalent education and experience.

  • Prior experience in management of USDA BRS regulated material/crops

  • Experience with logistics; local movement of bulk product.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% with some overnight travel required.

  • Availability to work extended hours, including occasional work on weekends and holidays,

  • Maintain valid driver’s license and auto insurance and successfully pass Motor Vehicle Records check as a part of our pre-employment screening.

    • A company vehicle will not be provided for this position. Employee will receive a monthly stipend, and mileage reimbursement, for utilizing their personal vehicle.

  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in establishment of an operating site.

  • People management/supervisory experience
