Mazen is currently in the process of finalizing production facility plans. The exact location of this production site is TBD, but will be located in the Midwest, specifically Illinois, Nebraska, or Minnesota.

Our first innovative solution is a reinvention of vaccines with a novel maize-based technology platform that will shift the paradigm in disease prevention.


Summary and Responsibilities:


We are seeking a site manager who will be responsible for managing all operational activities needed to meet production objectives while ensuring high standards for quality and safety. This position will be a part of the growing team of professionals dedicated to building an innovative and collaborative production function necessary to deliver high quality productions to Mazen customers.
 

Key responsibilities:
 

People Leadership

  • Successfully lead all aspects of people management at site, including proactively managing performance and development, workforce planning, training, scheduling, and time tracking, etc.

  • Remain up to date on all applicable state & federal labor guidelines.

  • Establish and maintain a site culture dedicated to the highest level of Health Safety and Environment (HSE) and Quality performance.

Site Operations

 

  • Manage all operational activities at the site required to deliver high quality products. This includes, but is not limited to, developing and executing operational plans including budget requirements, overseeing maintenance of the site and equipment, and collaborating with internal and external partners.

  • Establish and maintain systems and processes that ensure adherence to applicable regulatory rules and regulations, including EPA, OSHA, and Worker Protection Safety programs.

  • Oversee processes related to HSE, Quality and compliance in cooperation with seed production management and other stakeholders including but not limited to quality assurance.

  • Ensure all safety and compliance (Regulatory and DOT) guidelines are met to maintain our FTO as a company.

  • Develop, propose, and manage capital projects and long-term strategic planning for the facility.

  • Swiftly perform any necessary direct root cause analysis of safety, quality, and productivity incidents.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, with minimum of 7 years of experience in corn/seed production. Including previous experience in the management of USDA BRS regulated material/crops.

  • Experience with agriculture, seed and process manufacturing, safety, quality, or related area.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to travel up to 10% with some overnight travel required.

  • Maintain valid driver’s license and auto insurance and successfully pass Motor Vehicle Records check as a part of our pre-employment screening.

    • A company vehicle will not be provided for this position. Employee will receive a monthly stipend, and mileage reimbursement, for utilizing their personal vehicle.
